Dent took over The Cider House Restaurant in April 2007 and have created
what can only be called “ a unique experience “….
Tony
is a former Master Chef of Great Britain and New Zealand,
in New Zealand he hosted his own television show “dish’in
it out”
He is passionate about his food….
All the produce is sourced locally wherever possible…
Fish
and Shellfish from Something Fishy at East Wittering.
Fruit and Vegetables from Horrocks at East Wittering are local and
seasonal where possible.
Meats from Jordans at Pagham are British and fresh seasonal game
is local…

all the time making the most of fresh seasonal produce…
Served in a style that is stunning, yet simple and uncomplicated
Juanma Otero ably assists Tony in the kitchen.
Tony
and Juan have worked together many times,
With both chefs attaining two AA rosettes at The White Horse, Chilgrove.
Their dishes compliment each other with Tony’s Australasian
and Pacific influences and Juanma’s Spanish and Galician flavours.
Julia
hosts the restaurant with her assistant Lauren Diamond.
Julia has worked in many fine dining restaurant,
but the service at The Cider House is relaxed but professional.
Try
Appledram Cider, produced on the farm by Julian and Kathy Moores,
or Wines that have been carefully selected by our wine merchant
Alan Snudden from The General Wine Company.
Our
well-balanced House List is complimented by a Fine Wine List for that
very special occasion.
We
prepare daily Specials, which are offered verbally according to
our suppliers fresh seasonal produce…
In
the summer we are opening our Grill Bar where you can sit and watch
Tony or Juanma cook your meal on the open grill under the grape vine….
We
are open seven days for lunch and dinner and we cater for small parties
up to 60 persons, we are happy to offer a menu to suit any occasion.
